About the Artist

My journey with jewelry began at the age of fifteen when I learned how to make stone beads, arrowheads and cordage from grasses and animal sinew while on the trail of a wilderness survival course.

Over time I added skills such as loom beading, wire wrapping, and hemp knotting. I maintained these skills throughout my service in the US Marine Corp and while raising my large family.

In 2008, I learned how to sculpt and fire precious metal clay and opened my first Etsy shop where I began to sell my work to feed my hobby.

Thirteen years later, with my six children all nearly adults, I went back to school to learn lapidary skills and how to solder silver and gold.

With a new set of skills I opened my current Etsy shop and began selling my work at local and regional art shows. This has given me the opportunity to explore my beautiful state of Colorado with my indispensable teammate and daughter, Elspeth.

My work takes inspiration from an eclectic assortment of interests and influences, such as the Rocky Mountains and Sonoran dessert, classic and modern architecture, ancient jewelry, and science fiction films and literature.

More than anything, I strive to make each piece more than just an adornment but rather an outward projection of the wearer's hidden self so that they feel more authentically seen.
